THE CIF SAN DIEGO SECTION IS PLEASED TO RECOGNIZE POWAY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER 2009/2010 (WINTER SEASON) FOR THEIR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT WITH THE HIGHEST UNWEIGHTED GRADE POINT AVERAGE ( 3.70) IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY.
THE TEAM WILL BE NOMINATED TO THE STATE CIF FOR STATE RECOGNITION.

Player of the Year
Congratulations go to Jenna Pellegrino, junior midfielder who has been named the 2009/2010 Palomar Girls Soccer Player of the Year!
Our Poway High Titans celebrated their Senior Night recognitions and last regular season game and playing against cross-town rivals the Rancho Bernardo Broncos. The game ended in a tie (1-1) with both Poway and Rancho Bernardo sharing the Palomar League Championship. Congratulations to seniors, Chloe Harrington, Kelsie Dickerson, Kristen Kapitzke, Hayle Irving-Ruffing and Amanda Schack. Good luck at college next year !

Interested in playing a sport in college ? Make sure to check out the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) webpage for lots of information on college sports (http://www.ncaa.org/). The NCAA Eligibility Center has unveiled a new student-athlete website and registration process for college-bound student-athletes planning to enroll fall 2010 and later. The Eligibility Center feels that this new environment will aid administrators and coaches in easily accessing the vital information needed to assist student-athletes and parents with the registration and academic and amateurism certification process. It will also make the registration process easier for student-athletes, while providing them with a more interactive environment to begin their NCAA student-athlete experience.
